Paris' top industrial heritage spots for hosting your events
Numerous industrial heritage sites in Paris have been converted into areas for hosting all types of events and receptions.Just a sample of buildings charged with history and firmly anchored in the present …
On the Plaine Saint-Denis, on the site of the famous Paris bonded warehouses (EMGP), a national listed building,Les Docks de Paris forms one of the biggest “meeting centres” in the capital. With three modular areas, Les Docks boasts more than 6,500 m2 and can host up to 8,000 people for a cocktail reception. On the same avenue, the buildings of L’Usine, the former laboratories of the central pharmacy of France, have since 2001, housed nine private-hire areas over a surface area of 1,500 m2. An eminently industrial setting that pleasantly associates open beams with metallic structures. To the west of Paris, close to the Ile Saint-Germain and Porte de Saint-Cloud, Les Crayères des Montquartiers (quarries from the beginning of the 19th century converted into wine cellars) offer quite a different decor with areas ranging from 400 m to 1,200 m2 over a surface area of one hectare. The venue is both authentic and chic for celebrations, receptions and, of course, wine tasting.
