Rotermann quarter is a secret well kept. Located in the heart of Tallinn between harbour and Tallinn old Town it is one of the fast evolving modern areas in Tallinn. It is an attractive district containing juxtaposition of old industrial buildings that have required a new function and modern architecture. Although so well located it is not easy to find if you do not know how to look for it.Since June this year the quarter has become very much involved in local cultural life being the site of numerous festivals. This September the festival Plektrum, design night and Art and lights festival were held there. The design and handicrafts market and food market that promote produce of local farmers have been held there every Sunday since June.
