1 to 5 October 2010: 4,500 oncologists to hold annual meeting in ICC Berlin
From 1 to 5 October the German, Austrian and Swiss Societies for Haematology and Oncology will welcome around 4,500 medical specialists from every German-speaking country in Europe to their annual meeting in the International Congress Center Berlin (ICC Berlin). A total of 290 experts have been invited to speak at almost 200 sessions on their latest research findings and on trends in haematology, oncology and infectiology. Besides examining the latest developments the 2010 annual meeting will look back at the immense progress made in these areas. With a history of medical achievements, the 300-year old Charité hospital, and names from the past such as Rudolf Virchow, Paul Ehrlich and Emil von Behring, Berlin is the ideal venue for such an event.
Patients are also welcome to visit the annual meeting of German-speaking haematologists and oncologists. A programme coordinated with self-help groups will take place on Patients’ Day, from 12 noon to 5.15 p.m. on 2 October 2010. Programme details and information on how to register are available at www.haematologie-onkologie-2010.de.
