Two Major Conferences Coming to Estonia

Tallinn has won a bid to host the 13th European Association for Directors of Residential Care Homes for the Elderly (E.D.E.) Congress in 2013. More than 900 delegates from 18 countries are expected to attend the event, which will take place in September 2011 in the Solaris Centre.

The ECB, working side by side with the Estonian Sleep Research Society, has also secured a bid to host the 21st European Sleep Research Society Congress in Tallinn. The event will be held in September 2014. The four-day congress, which is expected to involve over 1,500 participants, will be held in the Nokia Concert Hall/Solaris Centre, with guests staying in nearby downtown hotels. The successful bid is a landmark in the two-and-a-half-year history of the ECB, according to its managing director Riine Tiigi, as it is the first time the organisation has attracted an event with more than 1,000 delegates.
